The Actual Tryout!

I just finished grappling and am waiting to find out if I go to the next round. I pulled guard and worked from there and half guard but I couldn't finish him. He couldn't submit or pass my guard.

UPDATE:

Well I didn't make it to the second round because I need more fights. "Maybe next time," they said. Sorry I let everyone down,

Mu's Ultimate Fighter Tryout Blog: Day 3

The trip was long, but more comfortable then the first part. I slept and boy was I happy to reach the hotel. I had a day of rest and light cardio. Tomorrow comes the tryouts.

TRY OUT DAY 1:

I woke up early, prayed and then had a 7AM morning swim. Then I changed and went to register, got my number and am now a face amongst a large diverse group of fighters. Some guys are very big, some small. It's nice to know all these people have the same goal. We all want what only a few can have. It's about to start.

Day 2 - Mu's Tryout For The Ultimate Fighter

Day 2

Left Chicago on time and traveled most of the night across, in no particular order, Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Missouri, and when I awoke from the night before, we were in Colorado. Beautiful scenery and I actually got to sleep, all praises and thanks to GOD.

It is currently saturday, 11AM mountain time. I am still faithful that I'm gonna do well. Many thanks to Tommy for posting these blogs, much love to everyone for helping a struggling man try for his dream. You all are a blessing.

Until later, keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

More From Mu's Ultimate Fighter Tryout

DEA stopped me. They searched my stuff, then let me go.

Then I sat behind a really smelly punk rock guy. Egads!!! Bad way to start the second leg of the trip!

Mu's Tryout For The Ultimate Fighter Blog - Day 1

Day 1 -
Coach Jeff dropped me off at the train station, boarded what appeared to be a roomy train. Boy, was I wrong. A trip that was SUPPOSED to take 17 hours to Chicago took nearly 20 hours. Let's rewind those 20.

Slept off an on for a total of maybe hours - each nap interrupted by a nagging cramp or a pain in numerous parts of my body. Times like these I wished I was afraid to fly. At 11:30 or so we finally pulled in... delayed an additional 3 hours due to a train derailment the night before. So here I sit at noon, waiting for my 3:15pm and a 41 hour train ride to L.A., but I'm staying in high faith and ready to do my best.

More to come tonight.
